At its 14th edition the Trasimeno Music Festival has been rated by the national and foreign press as one of the most prestigious music festivals in Europe and in Italy.
It takes place in Umbria, in the Lake Trasimeno Area, between June and July: this year from 29th June to 5th July.
The Association was formed by the meeting between the greatest Canadian pianist Angela Hewitt and the Umbrian town of Magione, in the area of Lake Trasimeno.
Then it’s been grown up thanks to the more widespread activities: lecture-demonstrations held in schools, discussions with authors who write about music in their work, masterclasses with young pianists and Friends Associations being formed around the world.
In this kind of mission the event takes deeply part of the local and international contest with continuity and development, in the Lake Trasimeno setting, with its historic, cultural and touristic value, more and more appreciated by foreigners.
The 2018 edition will star on the 29th of June in Perugia, at the San Pietro Church with the Camerata Salzburg and Angela Hewitt and a Gala dinner before in the Cloister.
Here the detailed program
As every year the Association will celebrate Angela’s Birthday and Gabriela Moreno will play an improvisation for her at the Castle of Knights of Magione.
Then, Julia Hamos and Luigi Carroccia are the two young pianist of the Pre-Festival Concert: they will play in the town of San Savino, Magione, overlooking Lake Trasimeno.
